With TripIt Pro Passport Renewal Reminder, you’ll receive helpful notifications when your passport expiration date is approaching, so you can start the renewal process for valid documentation before your next international trip.

First, you'll want to add your passport details to your TripIt account.

In the TripIt app:

  1. Tap the 'Account' tab
  2. Tap 'Travel Documents'.
  3. Tap the plus (+) button to add a passport. Be sure to add the date of expiration.

On the TripIt website:

  1. Click your name (top right)
  2. Select 'Profile' > 'Traveler Profile'.
  3. Click (+) to add a passport. Be sure to add the date of expiration.

Then, TripIt Pro will send reminders to renew your passport 6, 9 and 12 months prior to the expiration date with an email and an in-app alert. Once the passport is renewed, update the information and new expiration date in TripIt.

Please note, Travel Documents is only available on the legacy website at this time. You can revert to the legacy website by adjusting the 'New Website' toggle located at the top right of any screen. This feature is currently only available on our mobile apps for EMEA accounts.

How to enable Passport Renewal alerts

  1. In the TripIt app.
  2. Tap the 'Account' tab.
  3. Tap 'Settings' > 'Notifications'.
  4. From here, you can toggle on or off “Passport Renewal” in the 'Pro Travel Alerts' section.

Can I monitor more than one passport?

Yes, you can add more than one passport in Travel Documents, and TripIt Pro will monitor the expiration dates for all of them. This can be helpful if you have dual citizenship or want to manage your family members’ documents as well.
