Seat Maps & Seat Tracker

With TripIt Pro, you can use Seat Maps and Seat Tracker to find a better seat on your next flight. 

• Seat Maps displays the seat configuration for your flight, including where exit rows are located. You can filter by class (first/premium/economy), row location (window, middle, aisle) area of plane (ahead of wing, over wing, etc.) and select to find seats together.
• Seat Tracker sends a notification when your desired seat becomes available. Seat Tracker notifications can be sent by email, SMS and push notifications.

How it works:  

TripIt website:

1. Click the Actions button located to the right of any flight.
2. Click "View Plan Details".
3. Click "View up-to-date seat maps for this flight" in the TripIt Pro section.
4. Select your seat preferences. If a seat is blue in Seat Maps, that means the seat is available and you can try to get this seat with the airline.
5. If the seat you want is not yet available, make sure "Seat Tracker Notifications" is turned on so you can receive a notification if it becomes available.

TripIt app:

1. Tap your flight.
2. Select Seat Tracker.
3. Or from the Pro tab, select "Seat Tracker".
4. Tap "Create an Alert" and choose your flight.
5. Select your seat preferences (fare class, window or aisle, area of plan, etc.)

Please note:

• Seat Maps is only available in the TripIt website at this time. 
• Many airlines charge a service fee to change seats, so be sure to check with your carrier before rebooking! 
• Unfortunately you can't use Seat Tracker with flights we can't monitor or airlines that do not offer seat selection.
