Add a new trip using the website

Create a trip manually or by forwarding your vendor confirmation email to plans@tripit.com.


Forward your plans:


Forward a travel confirmation email to plans@tripit.com. That's it! We'll do the rest! You can also edit your itinerary, add maps, directions, meetings, activities, notes, photos, documents and more. Then, share your itinerary with friends, family, and co-workers.  You can even access your TripIt itineraries from your mobile device!


Create your trip manually:


We've redesigned our web experience. You may still have the option to access your account from our legacy site so we've included instructions for both.


From our new web experience:

  1. Click 'Add a Trip'.
  2. Enter your trip's start and end dates, destination and any information you may find helpful.
  3. 'Save'.

From our legacy site:

  1. Click 'Add a Trip'.
  2. Enter your trip's start and end dates, destination and any information you may find helpful.
  3. Click 'Add Trip'.


Add travel plans:

  1. Click 'Add a Plan'.
  2. Select the type of plan (flight, lodging, activity, etc.).
  3. Enter your plan details as accurately as possible.
  4. 'Save'.


Please note: 

    • Once a trip or plan is added, please review the information thoroughly to verify it is accurate.
    • You can only specify one primary destination when creating a trip.  
    • For security purposes, our site does sign out after approximately 20 minutes. To avoid this you just need to make incremental saves as you go along. Every time you Save, the time out clock starts again.
