Recruiting Scams & Fraud

Modified on Thu, 25 Jan 2024 at 05:08 AM

We have become aware of recent incidents in which jobseekers have been targeted by recruitment scams. Scammers have been posing as employees of TripIt or third-party recruiting agencies and sending interview and job offers via social platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger.

Please be advised that TripIt and its parent company, SAP, never conduct purely text-based interviews via these channels. Initial contact from an SAP recruiter can begin on LinkedIn or via email from addresses ending in sap.com, however the process will always include an interview with a hiring manager either in-person or via video chat. All official correspondence such as interview scheduling and job offers will be sent from an email ending in sap.com.

SAP and its affiliates, including TripIt, will never request money, credit card, bank account, personal financial details, passport, or other personally identifiable information in the recruiting process.

If you feel you were victim of recruiting-related fraud, please contact your local law enforcement responsible for identity theft or cyber-related crime.

Open positions at TripIt can be found here.
